ADULT TRAINING
All adult volunteers are expected to complete the training required for their role. This page will help you find the appropriate training opportunities and contacts for Havant District. Getting Started This is the training available during your first 5 months. When you attend the Appointments Advisory Committee, you will be given your Adult Training manual and informed of the training you need to do. As soon as you have signed up you can start with your training. Module 1 - Essential Information  is the best place to start. The other getting started modules are - Module 3 - Tools for the Role (Section Leaders) Module 4 - Tools for the Role (Managers & Supporters) GDPR is for all adults and Safeguarding is for anyone who has to complete Module 1 Executive members need to complete Module 1E and Safeguarding You will also meet with your Training Advisor to go through your Personal Learning Plan (PLP) which must be completed within the first 5 months. All remaining training modules can be undertaken via the following link to the Scout Association training page These need to be completed within 3 years (Modules 6, 8, 9, 12B, 16, 18 & 19 are courses; all the others are either e-learning or workbooks) To book a GDPR course or submit a request to the Local Training Manager for a local course please use the following link -  GDPR / local courses Wood Badge Training If your role requires a Wood Badge to be completed, your Training Adviser will help you choose which Modules you need to complete, find appropriate training opportunities and validate your learning. Wood Badge Training in Havant District is managed by  the Local Training Manager - contact  trainingmanager@havantscouts.org.uk Ongoing Training and other information All Adults are expected to keep their training up to date. Any modules that are replaced are part of this ongoing learning. Keep an eye out here for any new/changed Modules that you may need to do. Module 12A and Module 12B - if you did Module 12 before 2015, you will need to complete these new ones by 31/12/2018. Adult Leaders are required to maintain their knowledge of first aid, safeguarding and safety.
